About Us

Dear North Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am excited to join North Elementary as your new principal. Over the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to meet some of the staff at North, and I could not be more thrilled to join the team.

This is the start of my 23rd year with Alamogordo Public Schools. My career began as a 4th grade teacher at Yucca Elementary. From there, I moved to Chaparral Middle School where I taught 7th grade English Language Arts for 17 years. After 18 years of teaching, I transferred to Alamogordo High School where I spent three years as an assistant principal. Most recently, I had the opportunity to work with the incredible staff at Stepping Stones Preschool.

My focus is building a community where all of our students feel successful and empowered to learn. I believe that this can be accomplished by building and maintaining a culture where masterful teaching is the standard which will have a positive impact on our students. Parents, let’s work together to build and grow our school community. Ensure that your student is here every day. Get involved with our Parent Action Committee.

I look forward to meeting and collaborating with the parents and students of North Elementary. It is going to be an exciting year!
